It's been a really good year for us; we played at Dallas' North Texas Irish Festival, as we do every year on the first weekend of March, and the Celtic Heritage Festival, in Bedford (a suburb of Dallas/Fort Worth). We also went out of town several times, playing at the follow-up parties for two Irish dance competitions (in Austin and Houston) and a really nice Irish pub called Finnegan's Wake in Alexandria, LA. Peggy even got to play several dates in the Netherlands with ONI, that country's oldest continuously performing mandolin orchestra. We had a great time at the Dublin Irish Festival (in Ohio, near Columbus), where we played a total of five sets. Our biggest news, though: we've started recording our second CD.
People have been asking us for it for years, and the time has come. At this time we're about halfway through, and I'll keep you posted on its progress as we move along. Soon we'll have a wee taste of it right here at this spot.
More good news: the 25th anniversary of the North Texas Irish Festival, one of the largest ones in the nation, is coming on the first weekend of March, and we'll be there. So will many of the best Celtic performers in the known universe, including some of your favorites who haven't played together in awhile.
Our CD, Havin' a Tune, is making many people happy. To obtain your own copy, come to any of our shows or send $15 with your name and address to 8000 Jolie Dr., Fort Worth, TX 76137.
There's a very positive review of our first CD in Rambles online magazine. Click here to read it.
